Sarah E. Skidmore

Sarah E. Skidmore was born and raised in Metairie, Louisiana and joined the firm in 2022. She attended Loyola University New Orleans where she graduated in May 2016 with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. She received her Juris Doctorate in 2022 from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law.

Sarah’s practice focuses on civil litigation and insurance defense with an emphasis on insurance coverage. She has successfully drafted and argued multiple motions for summary judgment on coverage and liability, resulting in early case resolution in multiple matters.

During law school, Sarah was a member of Moot Court and served as the Technology & Blog Editor for the Maritime Law Journal. Her comment on the Seaman’s Manslaughter Statute was selected for publication in the Summer 2022 edition of the Journal.

During her final year of law school, Sarah was a Rule XX Student Practitioner in the Children’s Rights Clinic where she received the highest-grade award for the Fall 2021 semester. During her time in law clinic, Sarah provided pro bono services as a court appointed advocate for children in custody disputes. She also represented parties in adoptions, divorces, and other family law matters; and assisted with the revisions to the 2022 edition of the Family Law chapter of the Louisiana Practice Forms. She credits her experience in law clinic with preparing her for a career in litigation.

Sarah is admitted to practice in all Louisiana state and federal courts. She is also a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association and the Louisiana Association of Defense Counsel.
