MICHAEL D. CANGELOSI

Michael was born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana, and has been practicing law since 2006. He is licensed in all Louisiana state courts and also has been admitted to practice before the United States District Courts for the Eastern, Middle and Western Districts of Louisiana, and the United States Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals. His practice areas include Civil Litigation, Insurance Defense and Products Liability.

For more than fifteen years, Michael has handled a wide variety of cases involving, among others, claims for personal injury, premises liability disputes, and insurance coverage litigation. In the wake of Hurricane Katrina, he also handled hundreds of first-party insurance disputes on behalf of various insurers. He has experience with both bench and jury trials, as well as arbitration proceedings. He has tried numerous cases to verdict in state and federal courts and has extensive experience in mediating cases throughout the State of Louisiana.

Michael attended Jesuit High School in New Orleans and graduated from Louisiana State University with a B.A. in History in 2002. He graduated from the Paul M. Hebert Law Center at Louisiana State University in 2006, where he made the Chancellor’s List in 2004 and 2005 and was awarded the Class of 1931 Hebert Memorial Scholarship Award.
