Kristen Hilferty joined the firm in September 2020. Born and raised in the New Orleans area, Ms. Hilferty graduated from St. Mary’s Dominican High School. From there, Ms. Hilferty attended Louisiana State University and graduated in May 2014 with Bachelor of Arts degrees in Political Science and History, as well as a minor in business administration. She received her Juris Doctorate and a Certificate in Civil Law from Tulane University Law School in May 2017. While at Tulane, Ms. Hilferty served as the Senior Notes and Comments Editor for the Tulane Environmental Law Journal; as a student attorney in the Tulane Environmental Law Clinic; and as a research intern at the Tulane Institute on Water Resources Law & Policy. Upon graduating, she clerked for the Honorable Marc T. Amy of the Louisiana Third Circuit Court of Appeal. After the conclusion of her clerkship term, Ms. Hilferty returned to the Tulane Institute on Water Resources Law & Policy as a Senior Research Fellow and completed a two-year fellowship. Ms. Hilferty is a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association.
