Thomas is a 2008 alumnus of Louisiana State University where he graduated with a B.S. from the College of Agriculture. He obtained his law degree from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law in 2011 where he was a member of the Maritime Law Society and the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program. Prior to joining H&G, Thomas served as the judicial law clerk to the Honorable Judge James J. Best of the 18th Judicial District Court in New Roads, Louisiana. Following his clerkship, he practiced medical malpractice defense in the Lafayette area.
Thomas is admitted to practice law in all Louisiana state and federal courts. He is a member of Louisiana State Bar Association, American Bar Association, Jefferson Bar Association, New Orleans Bar Association and the Louisiana Association of Defense Counsel.
Civic Activities include volunteer and competitor for the annual Hogs for the Cause Fundraiser and Barbecue Cookoff to end pediatric brain cancer and Fight Gone Bad, benefitting the Special Operations Warrior Foundation and the Crossfit Foundation. He and his family are parishioners of St. Francis Assisi Catholic Church and reside in uptown New Orleans.
